Gaining Altitude

Mark Andrews

We have to learn to harness the power within

Power.

It's a tool that all of us want in some fashion. Whether it's the power to control our kids, our employees, or our own life, all of us want some sort of power.

Power is a tool that can be used for incredible good, and for absolute destruction.

Personal power is the strongest power we possess. Many of us don't realize we have it, and some people just don't want to acknowledge it.

All of the actions and decisions that we make for our success or our failures come from our personal power.

Our power comes to us at a very young age. When we are infants and are hungry, we have the power to make our parents run quickly when we let out a bloodcurdling scream.

As we get older, we find our personal power shapes everything we do, from whether we go to college or get a job.

What our personal power does for all of us is it shapes our destiny.

The power inside our heads and bodies is the single-most important factor that decides whether we have a happy and successful life.

What happens to a lot of people is that they let fear get in the way of their personal power.

The great fear of failure can stop people cold in their tracks, so that success is a stranger.

The worse fear is the fear of success, which puts a glass ceiling over us, sabotaging the potential for success because we aren't ready for it.

I've told many people over the years, that inside of us is a little powerful seed, which cannot be seen, but contains the power of our lives.

We have to decide what to do with that seed. Whether we'll allow it to grow more than we can ever imagine, or are we just going to leave it alone out of fear of failure and success.

Today's upgrade: "What would you do in your life if you knew you could not fail?"
