Detroit Metro Connections newspaper
is a twice monthly publication for distribution at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County
Airport. The publication has an initial circulation of 20,000 and is free to the public.
Distribution includes Northwest Airlines passenger gate areas, employee break areas and
ready rooms along with other public areas in the International and Davey Terminals.
Informative, current and upbeat articles highlight the latest happenings in the airline
industry, at Detroit Metro Airport, and throughout Michigan and the Motor City.
According to the Wayne County Division of Airports' Community
Relations department, an average of 375,000 travelers pass through the Davey (North)
terminal every two weeks. Of that, an estimated 65% are business people
while 35% are leisure travelers. In addition, about 62,000
airport and service employees around the airport read Detroit Metro
Connections.
