    Detroit Metro Connections newspaper is a twice-monthly publication for distribution at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. The publication has a readership of over 80,000 and is free to the public. Distribution includes Northwest Airlines passenger gate areas, employee break areas and ready-rooms along with other public areas in the new Edward H. McNamara Terminal/Northwest World Gateway and international terminals. There are over 60 racks throughout the airport as well as Romulus city hall and area hotels and restaurants.

    In 2000, Wayne County's Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) was ranked as North America's 10th busiest airport in terms of passengers; 16th in the world. DTW is also the 6th busiest in the world based on operations servicing over 35 million passengers. DTW continues to set records with outbound passenger traffic.

DTW serves as Northwest Airlines' major hub and handles over 74% of the passenger traffic at DTW and employs nearly 16,000 workers. DTW's carriers provide non-stop service to over 100 domestic destinations, many of them served repeatedly throughout the day.
